Litter Challenge

The Stafford Borough Council Environmental Department have staged Litter Challenges in the town centres of Stafford and Stone and then on Friday 6th July 2018 the roadshow came to Eccleshall Town centre.

I was able to support the event prior to it by distributing leaflets and posters and generally encouraging businesses to ‘Sign the Pledge’ and agree to help reduce the amount of litter generated by their premises.

The team from the Borough were in town from 10am until about 4pm signing people up and chatting to residents about their thoughts on litter.

At the end of the day we had signed up over thirty businesses and archived twice as many as the Stone town centre achieved - no mean feat!

GOOD FOR BUSINESS

A tidy town centre is both good for business and good for the wider community.

It makes us all feel welcome and draws visitors in from surrounding areas.

Help to keep Eccleshall clean and tidy.

We can all do our bit

KEEPING ECCLESHALL TIDY

Peter supports the Parish Council initiative led by Parish Councillor Ros Taylor to keep the town litter free by covering one of the areas that needs attention.

There are many members of the community who also support the scheme.
