I have been married to Joy, my second wife for over 40 years and we have have four children between us and six grandchildren with ages ranging from 3 to 23 years old and two great grand sons Edward and Stanley.

Joy and I moved to Eccleshall 30 years ago to manage the Stars News Shop in Stafford Street after managing other stores stores in Wolverhampton, Walsall and Oldbury.
I retired twelve years ago and Joy retired from the Stafford Railway Building Society eight years ago.
My previous background was in Marketing, Personnel and Training with a large engineering company in Birmingham.
I became the Mayor of Stafford Borough in 2015 and Joy joined me as Mayoress.
We both enjoy singing and are members of the Holy Trinity Church, Eccleshall Singers and the Saints Alive Company.
I have been a Rotarian for 26 years currently a member of the Stafford Rotary Club, previously being the club’s President in 2014 - 2015, currently the club’s secretary.

THE ECCLESHALL GUIDE
For the past 26 years I have been producing the 80 page Eccleshall Guide.
5000 copies are now produced each year and it is printed at the Creative Copy n Print on Raleigh Hall Industrial Estate.
It is supported by the advertisers which enables us to distribute it free of charge to many of the homes in the area.
It is also available from the businesses in the town and elsewhere.
ECCLESHALL FESTIVAL
With the loyal support of a band of volunteers we produce the Festival every other year with a street market on the Saturday and various attractions in the week.
I have been involved in one way or another with the festival for 12 years and am currently the Coordinator.
ECCLESHALL BUSINESS FOCUS GROUP
I was a founder member of the EBFG during my time as the town’s newsagent and have supported the group since my retirement by arranging the window display competitions in the summer and at Christmas.
